Reuse Grocery Bags

Plastic grocery bags get into our waters and are mistaken as prey by whales and other animals. The bags can choke the animals and are often found in the stomachs of animals that have passed away. Plastic can take hundreds if not thousands of years to break down. Stop using plastic bags and start bringing your own reusable bags when you go shopping. Each Earth Fare store donates $.05 for each bag reused by its customers to a local non-profit. The Tennessee Aquarium benefits from this program from July 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010.

Volunteers Needed

The Tennessee Aquarium is a private, non-profit organization and volunteers are vital to our success. Aquarium Volunteers educate our guests, care for our plants and animals, assist in our offices or volunteer behind the acrylic walls as divers. Discover the unique, educational and fun volunteer opportunities at the Tennessee Aquarium.
